Rio Kids: 1st – 5th Grade
In this age group, we are excited to make the Bible come alive in a way that embraces their energy and celebrates curiosity. Their leader engages with them in a Bible lesson geared towards their age group and follows with group discussion. We want to teach our Rio Kids to love Jesus, make wise choices, and show Jesus’ love to their friends.
Our hope is that each student would embrace the following:
- I need to make a wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
What kids will experience: Each student will connect to a small group for a short activity or discussion before all the groups come together for a lively service geared towards their specific age group. The service will include a game, worship time, a message, and final point. At the end of the larger service, each student will close out with his or her small group and adult leader. It is our goal that kids enjoy the same group of friends and adult group leader every week so kids will always feel connected.

Baptism For Kids
We offer a baptism class for children in Mountaineers who have expressed an interest in being baptized. During this class, children and their parents will discover the meaning of water baptism and be able to determine if the child is ready for this important next step in their spiritual development.
