Please Let Us Know You’re Coming!

Each Week, to ensure the safety of our kids and attenders at River City we are asking each family to pre-register your kids for Children and Youth Ministry. Pre-registering allows us to ensure great ratios and health practices. All tags will be pre-printed allowing for touch-free check-in. Plan to arrive a little early before service to ensure a smooth drop-off for our team and your family.

River City Family,

We’re getting ready to move back inside! It is time for us to begin meeting together in our regular facilities for our Sunday morning services. We have been through a lot together and have seen the faithfulness of the Lord over and over. What a gift our Amphitheater has been for the last month, allowing us to meet with plenty of distancing in an open-air environment! Well, with summer arriving, it is time for us to get back to normal… sort of.

On Sunday, June 7th, we will resume our regular Sunday schedule with one small change; our service times will be 9:30 and 11:30 (instead of 11:15). This time change will give us a little extra time to follow all health and safety recommendations as we resume gathering together. There is a lot of extra work, preparation, and volunteers required to do services under our current conditions so we will not be bringing Monday services back until August or September. Our service will be live-streamed and will continue on all of our online platforms so those who are unable to gather will still be able to join us remotely.

We will continue to observe all distancing and safety recommendations to keep everybody as healthy as possible.

The biggest adjustments will take place in Next Gen ministries from 6 months to 8th grade.
Kids ministry will be available, but it will be on a limited, reservation-only basis. Please see the attached PDF for a description of the new procedures in our Children’s Ministry. The link for class registrations will go live right after this weekend’s services. Our High School ministry will begin meeting on Wednesdays in June with a brief health screening as students arrive.

These health precautions require more volunteers, however, some of our Next Gen volunteers are unable to resume their ministry due to health concerns or work requirements. If you are willing to volunteer during this time, please email Amy Wren (, and she’ll get you connected.

As we move forward, we continue to refuse fear! Fear and overreaction will lead to greater harm and costly mistakes every time. Our state, with the second largest population in the nation, has done extraordinarily well in managing the Corona virus with an informed, common sense approach. We are confident that we can continue down the road of completely reopening while keeping people healthy. Please join me in praying that our Father would continue to work through River City Community Church. Pray for health, provision, faith, and compassion as we help our community navigate the reopening process.

Thank you to all who have continued to support our fellowship by serving and giving as we have ministered to our community through these last few months. Your support has allowed us to be on the front lines of care and encouragement for so many who are in need. To support the work of River City Community Church, follow the give and serve links below.
