Please Let Us Know You’re Coming!

Each Week, to ensure the safety of our kids and attenders at River City we are asking each family to pre-register your kids for Children and Youth Ministry. Pre-registering allows us to ensure great ratios and health practices. All tags will be pre-printed allowing for touch-free check-in. Plan to arrive a little early before service to ensure a smooth drop-off for our team and your family.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).

Dear River City Family,

I have been reading through 2 Corinthians recently, and the Lord really spoke to me through the above passage. One day last week the constant media barrage of bad news, fear, rage, shaming, and distortion was really getting to me. I had been praying about some particularly “unsolvable” problems and began reading the Word. When I got to this section it was as though the words jumped off the page at me!

Read those verses again, slowly – thoughtfully – prayerfully.

Do not lose heart! Be renewed! There is an unseen, eternal world all around us! Don’t forget that. Don’t be afraid. Don’t let the confusion and deception of the world around us cloud your vision of our Father and Creator who is on the throne and is with us! So many people I know seem to be sinking under the weight of “the news.” This is why our gatherings are so important. We need to get together with others who share our story of God’s miraculous salvation! Don’t let fear keep you from what Christians have shared for over 2,000 years. Through war, sickness, famine, and persecution, the body of Christ has stood in faith and refused to let “light momentary affliction” keep us from worshiping, serving, proclaiming, and carrying the light and glory of God to a broken world.

Most of us are regularly going out to work, shop, and do the things we think are important. We are gathering to worship and pray because it is important! Of course, we are taking every precaution, including increased sanitizing, physical distancing, health screenings, temperature checks, and wearing masks. Beyond that, we trust the Lord. If you are able, I encourage you to join us. However, if you are not able to or not ready, we will be online at our Facebook page, website:, and our YouTube channel.  We’d love for you to be with us however you can.

Thank you to all who have continued to serve and give to support the work of God’s Kingdom through River City Community Church. We are so grateful for you! Every week we continue to share the Word with lost people, feed the hungry, care for the sick, and encourage those who are broken-hearted or discouraged. Our business is bringing hope and good news to those who are hurting and afraid… and business is good!

Did you know that in spite of the pandemic, 152 people have told us that they have surrendered their life to Christ this year!?! The average church in America is less than 100 people… these salvations represent a whole church of new believers in six months! 92 of these professions of faith have even come since the “shutdown” on March 14th! The Church has always found times of crisis and hardship to be fertile soil for the work of the Kingdom, and this time is no exception. God be praised!! You can begin or continue to support this ministry by clicking on the give button below. It will be an investment with eternal implications!

I am praying for you… I pray the Lord continues to protect and care for you and your family.  I’ll see you Sunday!
