We carefully select international partners and support them in serving the disadvantaged and those at risk. We select partners who have demonstrated effective ministry and responsible care. Our current nations of focus include West Africa, India, and Puerto Rico.

Serving Opportunities Include

INDIA

What: Support the local missionary and his team as they reach out to the poor, the orphaned, and the widowed, teaching them that Jesus is a friend of the poor. Ministries include distributing blankets, medicine, children’s programs and education, as well as sponsoring clean water initiatives.

Haven for Hope (Feeding the Homeless)

1 Haven for Hope Way, San Antonio, TX 78207  

Meet by the gate on North San Marcos

Time:  10:45 am – 1:30 pm

Project: Assemble food trays and serve drinks in the kitchen of St. Vincent De Paul, and mingle, minister, and pray with the homeless residents at Haven for Hope. Must wear hat, conservative dress (no short pants or sleeveless tops), and closed-toe shoes.

Real Life Christian Assistance

Meet at Concession 2 Building, behind the amphitheater 

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon

Project: Organize clothing and assemble groceries packages for families in need, minister to people by praying in a supportive environment. Helpful items to bring include work gloves.

Volunteers Needed:10 max.

Age Minimum:  Children 8 years and up are welcome with a parent/adult

Mats Matter

Meet in the main foyer of the sanctuary
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
Project: Crochet clean plastic bags into mats that are distributed to the homeless.
Please bring a size P crochet hook. Don’t know how to do it? We’ll show you!
Volunteers Needed: 30 max.  

Age Minimum:  Children 8 and up with adult supervision are welcome!

Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
Project: We will help with general grounds maintenance as well as special projects so be sure to bring work gloves. 

Volunteers Needed: No Max
Age Minimum: Children welcome with a parent/adult.  Children will be given age appropriate tasks to help serve.

Cantina Remodel

Meet at the Cantina at the church property.
Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
Project: Construction Work in the Cantina (Next Gen Building) to prepare a place for our youth to meet. Helpful items to bring include work gloves, safety glasses, hammers and wheelbarrows.
Volunteers needed: no max.
Age minimum: Children 11 and up with adult supervision are welcome!
